A Letter from Law Hilson

I want to speak to you directly.

For over 30 years, I’ve lived inside music—studying it, producing it, protecting it, and believing in it even when belief was the only thing I had. I’ve earned degrees, learned the business, and stood in rooms where creativity and commerce didn’t always agree.

But titles and credentials were never the point.

Before the albums, before the studios, before the plans—there was a young man trying to understand where he fit in the world. Someone who loved funk, soul, hip-hop, and experimentation, but didn’t always see himself reflected in the lanes that were offered.

That person is still here.

Tweak is not a replacement.
He’s a reflection of that part of me—and maybe a part of you—that never quite fit the mold.

Tweak City exists because I believe artists deserve more than cookie-cutter templates, more than mass-market formulas, and more than record-executive permission.

When you see Tweak leading the way—in the music, the visuals, and the world we’re building—know that it’s intentional. This isn’t about cloaking who’s behind it; it’s about telling the full story.

The Long Play (Reloaded) is exactly that: a long play. A body of work shaped by time, discipline, and a refusal to give up on the process. The original spirit lives inside the project because the artist still lives there. The world on the outside reflects where the journey is going.

Tweak City Music is a home for all creators who think deeply, feel loudly, and move differently. I chose to step forward as the first artist on the label not to make myself larger—but to open the door wider.
